I know this is an old post, but the title and tone of this post sounds, in my opinion, a little uncharitable, even condescending and perhaps a tad biased.

In fact, instead of quoting a multitude of religious leaders, you have merely quoted from a report about some leaders in a particular context. In fact the same report clearly shows that some Muslims who do not agree to the way some of their leaders interpret their Scriptures.

In fact, in a larger context, there are many Muslims who support women’s rights. See, for instance, this report: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/in_depth/7689897.stm. in our industry it fuels over 10 billion in sales of recycled auto parts. I agree inthat its tough for paper products and things less valuable but recycling in specific industries has HUGE advantages.

Palin doesn’t realize that by allowing TransCanada to build the natural gas pipeline she is actually allowing the possibility of allowing TransCanada at a later date to convert that natural gas pipeline to a crude oil pipeline. I thought Canada was a foreign country. Conoco-Phillips are stakeholders in TansCanada.

Palin is in bed with big oil.

I’ve read the story. i dont know where the author took this info, i live in azerbajan but have never heard about this kind of naming troubles. here in azerbaijan we qot huge number of russian, jew,persian,spanish, french and religious names. i’m sure that Novruz ayvazov had some other problems. name was not the reason.

Sarah Palin may be a fine Gov of Alaska but she is wayyyyyy out of her league in running for Vice President. I truly believe you are all deluding yourselves that you want a Joe Six Pac running the country. We have had a Joe Six Pac running it for 7+ years and look where it has gotten us. Going to church, wearing a flag pin, being pro war, listening to country music does not mean you are the only people who are proud to be Americans. I respect Gov Palin for her accomplishments and for her tenacity. Many folks say they like her, she’s a nice person. That may be true, but that does not make her a good candidate for Vice president or President of the United States.

“Prefect” is not “Governor”. Moreover, even accepting your contention for the sake of argument, George W Bush and all Congressional representatives are “governors”. That would include Barack Obama, Joe Biden, and John McCain.
