That is interesting context and background, Roadrunner1, thank you for posting it. It puts Bahtat's screed in a familiar, but sad, light. He did come across like troll and a true believer, and you showed him out as such. Thank you, again.

PS: a footnote to my last comment...

Inevitably Bahtat the Beanie will respond with his familiar accusations of racist, fascist, or BNP, or whatever.

Well I must be, musn't I. Daring to criticise Beanie and his adored Islam.

Don't take my word for it. Trawl the internet for "Bahtat" and you'll see what I mean. You might find the many times we've argued before.
Try, in particular, the Bradford Telegraph and Argus Forums. From which we've both been banned.

Blow up the tube and massacre innocent civilians? Not your fault - we made you do it.

Torture and behead hostages? The imperialist West forced you into it.

And always - always - from the smallest local incident, to major international atrocities, Beanie is there - the defender of the faith.

Maybe he thinks that when he goes to that great jihad in the sky, there will be 72 virgins waiting for him. If he's lucky, some of them might be women.

See you around Davie...

What's even stranger about Bahtat is his ability to lie in the cause of his passion. This is a beancounter who has made an internet career of supporting all things Islamic.

Anyone who dares to criticise the Muslim community for ANY reason - Ann Cryer for instance - is condemned as a fascist. Her help for vulnerable people is, of course, merely a cover for her hatred of Muslims. According to Beanie.

And all the missing Asian young girls have NOT been traced - as Beanie knows too well.

Beanie appears in countless blogs and forums, in numerous identities - with one thing in common. Attacking anyone who questions Islamic extremist activity. They are all BNP members. All Daily Mail reading nutters. Blah di blah...

He's been doing this for years. He sees himself as the scourge of the BNP, the defender of Islam.

But we know different - don't we Dave - I mean Beanie. There's only one waste of space in this situation - and it's certainly not Philip Balmforth.

See you around...

Well there is this from the Economist:

"In fact, this number includes pupils who play truant, have moved away, are home-schooled or are just in hospital. Bradford indignantly released details of its missing children: more than half are boys and only two are South Asian. (Ten are of undeclared ethnicity, but the council thinks few are Asian.) Other councils, equally bemused, report a similar picture."

or this

"Meanwhile, Bradford Council has provided further details on figures showing 33 children have been missing from school rolls for over two months, which had sparked concerns over forced marriage. These were identified last week at the home affairs select committee by junior children’s minister Kevin Brennan and the committee subsequently requested further information from the authority. A committee spokesperson said that the council had now accounted for all but three children.

Kath Tunstall, Bradford Council's strategic director of services to children and young people, said: “There has been much speculation about children missing from the school roll and forced marriages. However, it is inappropriate to assume that children who are not on a school roll are linked to forced marriages.”

However, in a submission to the committee on children missing from school rolls in thirteen other authorities identified as having a high incidence of forced marriage, Brennan said there was a “good deal of variation in the data, and some figures may appear to be rather high”.

As far as I can see Philip Balmforth seems to have seen his roll as being to promote the idea that Forced Marriage is a major problem as opposed to a very very tiny one (albeit major of the very few individuals involved).

He gave an interview to the Times that gave credence to the idea that these 33 "missing" children were victims of forced marriages when given that his job was dealing with forced marriage in Bradford he should already have investigated the possibility - given that it turned out that only two were in the sensitive racial group he and his supporters like to bash it seems he was guilty of stupidity at the very least.

The EDM referred to by the Times was put down by Anne Cryer who has a record of exploiting anti-asian sentiments to garner votes.

Are you able to document any of your allegations? In particular, a search of online news reports does not turn anything corroborating the claim in your second paragraph.

What's really strange about Balmforth (other than the fact he retired on full pension and was re-employed doing essentially the same job as a civilian) is that despite 15 years in the job he has never been reported in the newspapers as being part of prosecution in relation to forced marriage but is often quoted alongside people who have a vested interesting in exaggerating the problem of forced marriages (politicans like Anne Cryer who rely on anti-asian rhetoric to get elected and so-called charities who pay their employees nice sums out of donations)

Oh and then theres the fact that each and every one of the so-called missing children in Bradford have been traced and not one was even involved in a conventional arranged marriage nevermind a forced one.

Seems to me Balmforth has been caught out being a waste of space.
