Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty said earlier this week that it's time to "move beyond" using the Lord's Prayer to commence sessions of the Ontario legislature. He wants "a more inclusive custom that better reflects Ontario's multiculturalism" and called for—what else?—an all-party committee to consider the issue.
As it turns out, a committee is not needed. A most fitting replacement prayer has already been written. From today's Kitchener Waterloo Record:
