Two more scientific studies corroborate earlier findings indicating that smoking cannabis damages one's lungs far more than does smoking tobacco.
One study found a higher risk of lung cancer for those who smoked one joint a day compared with those who smoked 20 cigarettes a day over the same period.Another found bullous disease – a form of emphysema – occurs 20 years earlier in cannabis smokers.
The studies appear in Respirology and the European Respiratory Journal.
Cannabis use has been linked to serious physical and mental illnesses.

*If 1 joint equals 20 sigarettes.
*If the increased risk of cancer caused by cannabis smoking is 5,7 times higher than the general population.
*And the increased risk for a average sigarette smoker is 20 times higher than the general population (assuming 20 a day).
*How can 1 joint equal 20 sigg’s?
A quik calculation gives me: 3,5 joints equals 20 sigg’s. I can smoke 3 pounds of pot a year or nearly an ounce a week before I reach the cancer risk of a sigarette smoker. I don’t know anyone that smokes that much.
We can hardly expect this to become an epidemic.
How did these researchers ever pass their math exams?
Your math is about as good as your spelling.
