Democrat candidates for president tend to keep universal health care front and centre in their policy platforms. Now John Edwards has upped the ante with his call for universal compulsory health care.
Democrat John Edwards said his universal health care proposal would require that Americans go to the doctor for preventive care. "It requires that everybody be covered."It requires that everybody get preventive care," he told the crowd. "If you are going to be in the system, you can't choose not to go to the doctor for 20 years. You have to go in and be checked and make sure that you are okay."
Doctors will appreciate the guarantee of life-long employment.
If that's enacted (shortly after hell freezes over), a whole new occupational group will be created: preventive care enforcement police. The mind boggles.

Life-long employment? Trust me, I already got that. I don’t need to waste my precious time to see another hostile, entitled crackpot who doesn’t want a mammogram or a measles vaccine. I actually have people who stand to benefit from my opinion, skills and services.
