Even for Hugo Chavez, this is outrageous. Venezuelans will not be pleased.
In another defiant gesture against the democratic and spiritual sensibilities of the people of Venezuela, its ruler, Lt. Col. Hugo Chávez Frías, has determined that after August 5th, when the government takes over the management of the hospital in Maracaibo, its name will be changed from Hospital Virgen de Coromoto to that of Argentinean guerrilla fighter, Ernesto Che Guevara, who executed hundreds of Cubans in Havana. As everyone knows, Guevara was a fundamental factor in the entrenchment of the fierce Marxist-Leninist tyranny of Fidel Castro.

Not only will the name of the hospital be changed but also, what is even worse, the venerated statue of the Virgen de Coromoto has been taken away from the entry to that hospital and it will be replaced by a bust of Guevara. That bust could be placed in a house where terrorism and the totalitarian doctrine of Marxism-Leninism are promoted, but never in a hospital and, even less, replacing the Virgen de Coromoto.
The Virgin Mary is said to have appeared to the chief of Venezuela’s Coromoto Indians in 1651. Our Lady of Coromoto is now the patron saint of Venezuela.
Che Guevara, of course, was a terrorist and mass murderer utterly lacking in human compassion—but he does sell a lot of t-shirts. More here.

I guess God forgot about his “2nd commandment” as well when ordered Moses to construct two angels on the ark of the covenant or the tje construction of a serph snake on a pole and people to look at the snake.

You have read too many Jack Chick tracts. Go and do some personal research about what Catholics teach and believe starting with the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
I often wonder if people who think the Catholic arrangement of the commandments is wrong really believe that coveting another man’s wife is the same sin as coveting his oxen. And if so, what do their wives think of the equivalance?

If Mark Talley is so unnerved by the “Roman” Church, perhaps he ought to burn his New Testament, a gift to him from that same Church under the infallible guidance of the Holy Spirit. Or perhaps he ought not to speak any longer of the Trinity, or of the divinity of Christ, both also gifts to him from Rome. As Newman said, “To be deep in history is to cease to be a Protestant.”

The point is about the organized / planned transplant of the Cuban model in Venezuela
What is the difference between Cuba in the early 60’s and Venezuela now ?
a) In the 60’s, the Cuban did not have experience
b) They got it from the soviets
c) In the 60’s, Cuba was subsidized by the soviets
c) Today, Cubans are fully trained, and the G2 is in full swing, operating / training in Venezuela
d) Venezuela, although in decay, has plenty of petro-dollars
e) Chavez has used this money to buy people. If not, count the number of Rolls-Royces / Hummers driven by Chavez’s supporters
