Something I wrote at the end of this post is bothering me. I said there were "no churches of interest" in north Wales, but I want to amend that. I believe that, for the Christian, anywhere the body of Christ meets for corporate worship of our Lord is of interest—be it a cathedral, a humble country church, someone's home, or wherever.
What I should have said is that there are no church buildings with special historical connections or architectural or aesthetic significance. Or, perhaps even better, The Christian Traveler's Guide To Great Britain lists no Christian heritage locations in north Wales.
As it happened, I did visit two parish churches in small towns we stopped in during our journey through north Wales. I think I'll be able to find one or two photos of each for posting, along with a few worthwhile (I hope) words to say. Then, on to a large and ancient cathedral that is listed in our guide book.
